Regarding Alf’s Blacksmith Shop. Rebuilt in 1894 after a fire, it was used to build ore wagons, including 20 Mule Team Wagons. Two of these wagons still exist. They can be seen at the borax mine visitor center in Boron, and at the ranch museum in Furnace Creek.
Alf’s Blacksmith Shop was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2025.
