Inscription. This dignified Greek Revival town house was built in 1843 for George Harrison, a saloon keeper at the nearby Northern Hotel. In this three-story house with basement, a high stoop leads to a handsome, panelled and recessed door framed by Classical pilasters. The outer doorway is framed by full stone entablatures resting on pilasters with simply moulded capitals. The window sash is of the double-hung, mountined type capped by lintels with diminutive cornices. The house is crowned by individual delicate roof cornices. This house, and the others in this row were built in the same period and style. They remained in the Harrison family until 1877 and have been altered very little since.
