1. New Washington Veterans Memorial Mural Marker
Inscription.
This beautiful mural honoring New Washington-area Veterans was designed and painted by Dean Davis from Whitehouse, Ohio, who explains his inspiration here:

"This mural is a chance to showcase how the history of armed services is tied to small authentic American villages like New Washington. These communities bear the weight of what America was founded on. We tied in the soldiers of current times who pick each other up when in need, for asking for help is the ultimate sign of an American's heroism, and we recognized the heroes of the past who gave their lives so that we could live to our fullest potential."

The mural also includes:
• All Gave Some, Some Gave All. The motto encapsulates the knowledge that all Veterans sacrificed something of themselves - time, separation from love ones, physical and mental pain - and that some Veterans gave all, losing their lives in the service of our country.
• The silhouette at the base of the mural shows the New Washington skyline and includes the names of the four villages in the New Washington area.
• The mural was selected as the winner of the 2023 Crawford Partnership Community Development Award.
