Members of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of The American Legion comprise the Legion Family, which has a combined national membership of nearly 3 million.

American Legion
Chartered in 1919, the American Legion is the nation's largest wartime Veterans service organization. The Legion is committed to mentoring youth and sponsoring community programs, advocating patriotism, and supporting fellow service members and Veterans.

American Legion Auxiliary
The American Legion Auxiliary supports the American Legion and honors those who serve by enhancing the lives of Veterans, active military, and their families. The Auxiliary advocates for Veterans, educates citizens, and mentors youth while promoting patriotism.

Sons Of The American Legion
Sons of the American Legion members are the sons and grandsons of American Legion-eligible Veterans. As a program of the American Legion, SAL efforts honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires.
