Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge
The building of the Memorial Bridge did not just have to meet the technical challenges of designing and construction. They also had to do their jobs next door to the iconic Hoover Dam - a National Historic Landmark widely regarded as one of the outstanding civil engineering achievements of the Twentieth century.

Pat Tillman
Pat Tillman gave up a professional football career with the Arizona Cardinals to enlist in the United States Army. He was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2004.

Mike O'Callaghan
Mike O'Callaghan was the most popular governor in Nevada history. He left politics in 1979 and worked as the executive editor of the Las Vegas Sun until his death in 2004.

The Memorial Bridge is a composite steel-and-concrete structure designed to withstand the high winds in Black Canyon.
