Ludlow Manufacturing Company
The Ludlow Manufacturing Company had a vision for the town: create jobs for its residents, provide housing, schools, recreation and it will prosper. Prosper the town did. Among the amenities provided: The Hubbard Memorial Library, Ludlow Hospital, The Union School, Primary and Cole Buildings, Ludlow High School, and The Stevens Memorial Building. Sports teams were formed and many Ludlow Manufacturing Associates took part. The Ludlow Manufacturing Company shaped the downtown area into much of what we see today.

Winsor Street housing, built for employees of the Ludlow Mills. Many of these houses remain today.

Ludlow Hospital which was built in 1907. An addition was added in 1962 but the hospital closed its doors in the mid 1990s.

The Stevens Memorial Building, (known as "The Rec" for many years). The building was named in honor of John T. Stevens who was a board member of the Ludlow Manufacturing Associates. It served as a community building for employees.
