1. James John McCoart Marker
Inscription. A native of Rhode Island, he earned degrees from William and Mary and George Mason Universities. He completed a career in the Marine Corp. He served with distinction on the Prince William Board of Community Supervisors from 1975-1979, specializing in planning for the period of extended growth and development. He was engaged in civic pursuits including work with youth and his church, receiving multiple awards for service. The County Government Center is named in his memory.
