Inscription.
First occupied by the merchant Robert White this house built before 1825, is a well preserved small-scale example of simplified Federal design. Notable are the Flemish-bond brickwork, tooled stone lintels above the openings above the openings on the front and side, the key motif in the frieze, and the treatment of the dormers. The original size of the first story windows is indicated by the blind windows on the side. The ironwork entrance and stoop are late nineteenth century changes.
