 Butler to Dedicate New Monument to Vietnam Veteran.
Butler will unveil and dedicate a monument to honor the first member of the military from the city to die in the Vietnam War. Marine Corps Pfc. Paul E. Angert was just 18 when he was killed in action on April 28, 1970, in Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam, which experienced some of the heaviest fighting. He was the 34th member of the Armed Services from Butler County to die in Vietnam.
