1. Loblolly Pine Plantation Marker
Inscription. This loblolly pine plantation was harvested and regenerated in 1976, after which it was donated to Furnace Town by Glatfelter Pulp Wood Company. As part of Furnace Town's stewardship plan, it was commercially thinned in 1997 by Chesapeake Forest Products. Future practices may include prescribed burning, second thinning and harvest at maturity.
