Inscription. Enclosed springhead, 50 yards in rear, is the probable site of cabin, of "Governor Dick", negro slave charcoal burner of Grubb's Cornwall Furnace, who lived at base of "Governor Dick's Hill" from about 1776 to 1800. Cornwall Furnace Records
