Inscription. Located on a prominent downtown commercial intersection, this building has undergone a series of improvements to suit the businesses it has served. It has been owned by many noteworthy Salem names in agriculture and merchandising, including Durbin, Watkins, Dearborn, Hirschberg, Adolph and Waters. Earlier hardware stores have been replaced by businesses offering personal and professional services.
