1. Non-Contributing Building now a Contributing Building
The PGE Building was formerly known as Anderson's Sporting Goods Store and had a major facade covering the entire second story. It was a non-contributing building when the National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form was submitted in 2001. Since then, the building underwent a major transformation by removing the facade and exposing the original windows and brickwork underneath. This resulted in the building becoming a contributing building to the Downtown Historic

3. Anderson's Sporting Goods
This photo is part of the NRHP Nomination Form from 2001 and shows the Anderson's Sporting Goods building, which at the time, was a non-contributing building in the Salem Downtown Historic District due to the existing facade on the second floor. An amazing transformation took place between 2001 and present to make this building a contributing building to the Historic District by removing the facade and exposing the original face of the building.
