This memorial plaque is dedicated to Brevard Rosenwald School an entity of the North Carolina educational institution serving the Negro children of Transylvania County from before 1910 to 1966. The school lives on in the present through the memories of former teachers, students, and their families. Local Historic Landmark – March 4, 2002
