Regarding Adolf Schmidt House. The home had been converted to an apartment building before being acquired out of bankruptcy by Mundelein College in 1965. Mundelein used the building for religious studies and as a student center until becoming a part of Loyola University in the early 1990s. Loyola still uses the building today; called Burrowes Hall, it is used for administrative offices.
