1. Lockheed C-130E Hercules Marker
Inscription. On July 1, 1975, the 36th Tactical Airlift Squadron “Eagle Airlifters” and their C-130Es joined the 62nd Military Airlift Wing creating the USAF’s only combat airlift wing composed of tactical and strategic airlifters. The 36th TAS was one of the USAF’s more distinguished units flying effectively in many worldwide deployments, exercises, and in their nuclear airlift missions (PNAF) accruing over 180,000 hrs without a mishap. In late 1989 the last C-130 left the base and the 36th TAS was redesignated as the 36th Military Airlift Squadron flying C-141’s at McChord
