1. Mount Dora Hotel Marker
Inscription. Monroe Patterson, who operated a pottery and china business in East Liverpool, Ohio, built the Mount Dora Hotel in 1924. The building was constructed by local builder A.J. Waltz, who used hollow terracotta Egyptian block to construct the hotel. The hotel was open seasonally for winter guests, but then moved to offering lodgings year round in the early 1950s. Robert and Valerie Hart rescued the building in 1993 and renovated the building to include shops and offices.
