1. T-38C "Talon" Aircraft Marker

Inscription. The T-38 "Talon" Aircraft was manufactured by Northrop Aircraft in Hawthorn, California. More than 1,100 were built from 1961 to 1972. This aircraft has a maximum range of 1,093 miles and was powered by 2 General Electric J85 turbojet engines with afterburners capable of traveling over Mach 1.08 or 813 miles per hour. The T-38 aircraft is used for training by the United States, Germany and Turkey. This T-38A was removed from active service in March 1991 and used as a trainer on Sheppard AFB, TX by the 82 Training Wing. The aircraft was painted by the 80th FTW Corrosion Control and Media Blasting team and is being displayed as a T-38C Pacer Classic aircraft
