1. Bligh Building Marker
Inscription. Already a hotel and theater owner, Frank D. Bligh built this building, which contained as many as ten separate shop spaces, and the adjoining Capitol Theater, which featured a dome reminiscent of that atop the State Capitol. In 1945 Walter C. Winslow, a local attorney, bought the Bligh Building. The Winslow family retained ownership of the building until 1976. In 2006 the was purchased by Curt Pence, Alex Rhoten and Terry Kelly.
