1. Gen. Lyman L. Lemnitzer Marker
Inscription. A skilled military negotiator and strategist, he served as a general in WWII and a decorated commander in Korea. He was involved in creating NATO, chaired the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and commanded NATO troops in Europe before retiring as a four-star general in 1969. Born nearby.
