Senior Chief Special Operator (SEAL) Heath Michael Robinson was born on 05 June 1977 in Alma, Michigan. He later graduated from Petoskey High School in June 1995. In 1993 after the downing of a Blackhawk helicopter in Mogadishu, Somalia Heath was inspired to become a Navy SEAL. Immediately following high school in January 1996 he enlisted in the United States Navy.

Senior Chief Robinson reported to Naval Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois on 24 January 1996. On 29 March 1996, he completed Basic Training and reported to A-School at Dam Neck, Virginia for 4 months. On 19 July 1996 he entered Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training in Coronado, California, but was unable to complete due to unforeseen circumstances. After a two year tour in Okinawa, Japan he returned to Coronado and entered BUD/S Class 226. After six months of the most grueling and demanding training in the military, he graduated in 2000

and reported to Basic Airborne School in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Senior Chief Robinson was assigned to SEAL Team Three from 06 March 2000 to 12 April 2002. After completing one tour, he transferred to SEAL Team Seven from 12 April 2002 to 02 April 2004. Senior Chief Robinson began a rigorous selection and training course with Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG). Nine months after beginning the training process, Senior Chief Robinson was selected to be a NSWDG operator and reported to TACDEVRON Three where he completed numerous deployments.

Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Heath Robinson was a highly decorated combat veteran with numerous awards, including the Bronze Star Medal with Valor (4), including one for extraordinary heroism, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Valor (2), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Combat Action Ribbon (2), Presidential Unite Citation (2), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (3), Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and numerous other personal and unit decorations.

On 06 August 2011, an ordinary day in the life of a Naby SEAL ended tragically in the crash of a Chinook helicopter in a valley of Wardak Province,

Afghanistan. The mission known as Extortion 17 was the single largest loss of life in Special Force history. 30 warriors, of which 22 were Navy SEALs, and Bart the warrior dog. Those 31 sons will forever be together and died as national heroes, leaving brothers in arms to continue the fight.

Senior Chief Heath Robinson is survived by a wife, a beautiful daughter (his princess), his loving parents and brothers, teammates, family and friends. He is laid to rest in Section 60 at Arlington National Cemetery.
