1. The Wright Pierce Studio Marker
Inscription.
The Wright Pierce Studio, originally located on Bonita Avenue in downtown Claremont, was built by Wright McEwen Pierce in 1915 and used as his photographic studio. Pierce was known for his photographs of Claremont residents, buildings, landscapes, and wildlife. After his death, the studio was used as a residence and then an office.

When the Claremont Redevelopment Agency began a redevelopment project on the Bonita Avenue site in 1989, it funded the studio's relocation and restoration as the office for Oak Park Cemetery. Contributions were also made by the Friends of Oak Park Cemetery, Claremont Heritage, and other community organizations.
