Built in 1931 by the Bremen architect Karl von Weihe on the basis of Ludwig Roselius' idea. This house owes its name to Daniel Defoe's literary character Robinson Crusoe. It is supposed that Robinson's father was a citizen of Bremen. Robinson's character was a prime example of Hanseatic pioneering spirit and thirst for action to Ludwig Roselius.
