1. Thomaston Baptist Church Marker

Inscription. On March 29, 1896, a presbytery consisting of Reverend J.T. Cain, R.M. Roden, I.A. White, and J.J. Pipkin met in a little school house south of the J.W. Buck home for the purpose of establishing a church. Along with seventeen charter members, these men organized the Thomaston Baptist Church. They erected the first church building in 1897. The current building is a two-story. Neo-Classical Craftsman style building built in 1921.
