• Built in 1926 as a WPA building, the cost was only $5.50 per seat.
• The current grandstand has a seating capacity of 2,200. It was built at a cost of $70.00 per seat for $252,000.00.
• The grandstand was the first structure built at the new Century Avenue fairgrounds site.
• Display space was under the grandstand and included DNR exhibits, fish & wildlife and the Demolay concessions.
• Advertising the fair dates on the grandstand began in 1939.
