This is the second of 2 Cessna 310's that Jimmy Stewart owned. He reportedly made at least two trips to this airport in this plane during the four years he owned and flew it. In addition to his family, his good friend and racing pilot, Joe Debono, often flew with him.

This plane was abandoned at the Dallas Executive Airport for many years. In April 2015, members of EAA Chapter 993, with the help of Chuck Jessen, saved N6775X from being scrapped.

The chapter, supported by the Indiana County Airport, EAA members, other local volunteers, and many donations, transported, restored to its original paint scheme, and erected this unique dynamic display that you see here.

This display in memory of Jimmy Stewart serves as an inspiration to future generations in our community.

It is dedicated and donated by EAA Chapter 993 to the Indiana County Jimmy Stewart Airport, September 26, 2020

Erected 2020 by Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 993 and Concerned Citizens and Organizations.
