Founder of Springfield-based Eastern General Contractors, Inc., where he served as president and CEO for more than 50 years until the time of his death. With more than 100 employees, Eastern projects included hospitals, schools, fire stations, restaurants, community centers, airports, military bases and more. May the roots and branches of this tree symbolize John's humility and strength as a successful African American business owner. Moreover, his family and friends hope it will forever serve as an inspiration for future entrepreneurs and community builders.
