Kennedy Memorial Park
Conceived, made and maintained by the village of Hempstead as a grateful tribute to the men and women of the village who served their country in the first and second world wars, and as an enduring living memorial to those among them whose names are here inscribed, who “gave their last full measure of devotion” for the cause of human freedom.

dedicated to the happiness, health, and welfare of all the people of the village without regard to age, race, color, or creed, as a place for the enjoyment of physical and intellectual recreation, of neighborliness, and of friendly social contact, and as a place for the development of good American citizens.
