Dr. Platt Townsend (Yale) his children: William, Isaac and Frances.
Joshua Pine, his wife Sarah DeMilt and their children: John, Mary, Joshua, Jr., Sarah and Daniel.

Robert North, his wife Elizabeth Carter, and their son, Benjamin.
William Furman, his wife and their children. Exclaiming: I will be the first to set foot in our new home! Elizabeth Carter North sprang from her horse, her babe in her arms, later she became the mother of the first white child born in Walton.
Natives of Long Island, N.Y. these men were Veterans of the Revolutionary War, and appreciation is here recorded of hospitality early shown them by a lone hunter and trapper, one who likewise was a Veteran, Azel Hyde.
These lands they acquired from William Walton, Jr., Kings patentee and one of the foremost men of his time. He served as an early President of the Chamber of Commerce of the State of New York and was one of its founders. In his honor these pioneers named their settlement Walton.
This glacial boulder is the gift of Robert Berray St.John, whose ancestors, after service in the Revolution, early came to Walton. Its foundation has been provided by the Walton Chamber of Commerce, which body takes pleasure in having inscribed hereon fitting mention of Willam Walton, Jr. This marker is placed jointly by the Mary Weed Marvin Chapter of the N.S. D.A.R. And by descendants of the founders this 21st day of June, 1924.
