1. Scotland Bridge Marker
Inscription. Boone County Bridge 41, over Sugar Creek was a triple stone arch built in 1901 by Theodore Eck and Charles Ridout of Lebanon, IN. The cost was $4000.00. B.F. Baker, county surveyor, served as engineer and construction supervisor. In 1905 the bridge was damaged by flooding and was reconstructed. Bridge 41 served the motoring public for over 120 years before it was deemed to be functionally obsolete and structurally deficient. In order to improve safety and meet the need of modern traffic, Bridge 41 was replaced in 2023.

This monument is constructed from the very stones that once were part of Bridge 41.
