Inscription.
The family Tiberino (father Joe, his late wife Ellen, and their children: Raphael, Gabriele, Ellen, and Latif) have been active in Philadelphia's art community for more than two generations. Their home on Hamilton Street, now also a museum that honors the work of Ellen Tiberino, who died in 1992, has served as a gathering place and informal cultural center for artists, musicians and dancers.

Asked to create a work about the culture of Philadelphia, Joe and Gabe created a work about the neighborhoods of Philadelphia, and the art forms that live on the streets of the city, not just in the museums or, in the artists' words, the working definition of "brotherly love." The murals depict neighborhood scenes and community events highlighting the variety and diversity of places and people in Philadelphia.

Together the murals unify the varying neighborhoods and cultures of Philadelphia, accenting the diversity of the city with the harmony among its residents. Serving as a statement that resonates through all ethnicities and backgrounds, the murals exude the goodwill and fellowship of common peoples.
