Lynbrook in Nassau County, New York — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
Pearsall’s Corners
Beginning about 1850, a stagecoach made daily runs between Brooklyn and Pearsall’s Corners over the Jamaica Plank Road. It was met here by a coach from East Rockaway. The name Pearsall’s Corners became so widely used on stagecoach timetables and on local land deeds that it replaced the previous name of the surrounding community, Bloomfield.
