1. St Paul's Anglican Cathedral Marker
Inscription.
This 1894 parish church was built for the Anglican Diocese of Qu'Appelle to replace the original church built in 1883, and dedicated on Thursday January 24, 1895, the Eve of the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul. It was never intended to be a cathedral. However, the church was designated as a pro-cathedral in 1944 and a cathedral in 1973 after plans to build a large Anglican cathedral on College Avenue were cancelled. It is Regina's oldest church in continuous use and the oldest building in downtown Regina.

Winnipeg architect Frank Peters designed the original portion of the church. It is the city's only parish church in the blended Romanesque and Gothic Revival architectural styles, made popular in the 19th century by American Architect Henry H. Richardson. The church features a distinctive corner tower, yellow Pilot Butte brick walls above the fieldstone foundation, and a stained glass rose window. Transepts and chancel, designed by William R. Reilly were added in 1905-06. A museum and columbarium were added to the basement in 1994.
