Inscription.  Latin:
Dominicus Barbadico praef. sonoros ductaris fumibus orbes, mensa in fronte inscripta aeternum reddentes tempora vetustate nimia attritos usu patriaeque decori restituere amans, sitata cura, ut triumphavit CIↃ IↃ C XX

English Translation:
Domenico Barbadico, Prefect, with diligent care restored the harmonious circles of the water-channels, their flowing courses returning eternally the hours, which time’s excessive antiquity had damaged with wear to the honor of the homeland and for its adornment. Thus it was completed in the year 1820.
