1. The Franklin B. Jones Homeplace Marker

Inscription. First half 19th century. Late Federal-Greek Revival vintage, Queen Anne-style elements; unusually fine cross-gable bargeboard. First known as the Farley House in family oral history; referred to in deeds as the Franklin B. Jones Homeplace. Jones (1860-1931) operated F.B. Jones Gen'l Mdse; his father, Thomas, a Milton tinsmith. F.B. & wife Ella were grandparents of Jean Bradsher Scott (1925-2022) author of "Milton Memories." Later home of Evelyn Bradner Moorefield (1907-1992). Faithfully restored by Nancy Keeler.
