Inscription.  French:

Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Pertersbourg. Ce canon récupéré par l'armée allemande a servi à la protection du mur de l'Atlantique. Le 7 juin 1944, il a été neutralisé par l'armée anglaise alors qu'il se trouvait sur le site de la batterie de Longues-sur-Mer, à proximité de la falaise. Il a probablement servi : des douilles ont été retrouvées à proximité.

English:
This cannon, manufactured at the Saint Petersburg Arms Factory, was recovered by the German army and used to defend the Atlantic Wall. On June 7, 1944, it was neutralized by the British army while positioned at the Longues-sur-Mer battery site, near the cliff. It was probably fired, as shell casings were found nearby.
