Fifty years after Kristallnacht in November 1938, during which the Jewish synagogue in Bad Homburg was also burned down, the memorial was inaugurated. The bronze plaques bear the names of 81 Jewish Holocaust victims from Bad Homburg. It was erected on the site on Elisabethenstrasse where the former synagogue stood. The design by Hendrikus Godding, sculptor and former head of the arts and crafts department at the Bad Homburg Adult Education Center, incorporates the arched windows of the Jewish house of worship.(Submitted on December 17, 2025.)
