Regarding Smith-Gooderham House. The Smith-Gooderham House is a good early example of Gothic Revival style architecture in Ontario, which began in the 1850s, and also illustrates the development of the village of Ancaster. It was designated by the City of Hamilton under the Ontario Heritage Act in 2000. Jesse Smith purchased the property in 1871.
