"In 48 hours, we've lost seven ships and fifty souls."
- Tom Hanks as Captain Krause in Greyhound (2020)

Movie and television productions have long turned to the USS KIDD and its grounds to bring their stories to life. The Fletcher-class destroyer has appeared in Run Silent, Run Deep (1958), Battleship (2012), NCIS: New Orleans (2014), and Greyhound (2020). The Museum's P-40 Warhawk aircraft is featured in Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970), 1941 (1979), and Yukie (1998). The Museum building itself was seen in National Treasure: Edge of History (2022), and the A-7 aircraft and Memorial Plaza appear in Dirty Politics (2018). From the decks of the KIDD to the museum's aircraft and plaza, Baton Rouge's rich military heritage has left an indelible mark on the big screen.
