Jayden Daniels joined Billy Cannon and Joe Burrow as LSU's third Heisman Trophy winner in 2023, as he was the catalyst for the top offense in college football. Daniels earned consensus all-America honors, setting the SEC record for total offense in a season with 412.2 yards per game. During his senior season, Daniels set an NCAA single-season record for pass efficiency, accounted for 50 touchdowns, and led the nation in rushing yards by a quarterback with 1,134. He became the first player in FBS history to rush for 200 yards and pass for 350 yards in a game when he set an SEC record for total offense with 606 yards against Florida. Daniels capped 2023 by earning the Davey O'Brien, Manning, Walter Camp, and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Awards.
