Inscription.  French:

English:
Le château of Englesqueville must have originally been surrounded by ditches. Some parts may date from the early 17th or the late 16th century. This château is situated on the route of the old road called 'the fortified farms', which linked Grandcamp-Maisy to Port-en-Bessin.

The 16th and 17th century Rouge-Fosse manor occupies the old fief of the Canivet family, who, at the time, enjoyed the privileges of nobility. Rouge fosse (red pit) comes from Sieur de Rouge Fosse, Pierre-Charles Canivet, whose name reflects blood spilt in a particularly bloody battle. The main building has a square, four-levelled stair tower, with four tall, narrow windows. One of the windows is mullioned and another is arched. There is also a fleuron on the ridgepole of this tower.

At the entrance to the village, the Manor of Ecajeul, of Romanesque origin, has conserved its three original finely-carved dormer windows. The courtyard, which is completely paved, is a noteworthy element of this property.
