Inscription.  On 6 June 1944 at 0015 hours parachuted near Ste Mère Eglise as the first pathfinder of the 82nd Airborne Division to land in Normandy. After marking the drop zone for the 505th PIR he then went on to help liberate this town from oppression. Dedicated to a great friend of Ste Mère Eglise. A gallant Airborne soldier and a proud Ancient Facta non Verba.

Le 6 juin 1944 à 00 h 15, parachuté près de la ville Sainte-Mère-Église comme premier éclaireur de la 82ᵉ Division aéroportée à atterrir en Normandie. Après le repérage de la zone de largage pour le 505ᵉ PIR, il a continué à aider à la libération de cette ville occupée. Dédié à un grand ami de Sainte-Mère-Église. Un soldat parachutiste vaillant et un fier Ancient Facta non Verba.
