1. "Homes" of Weber State College Marker
Inscription. Weber State has known several "homes" and campuses since its founding. From its first quarters in the old L.D.S. Second Ward meeting house to the first permanent facilities in the Moench Building and the subsequent expansion of the downtown campus to the present campus site, the institution's history has been one of continued growth and development. Recognized for its beauty as well as functional and aesthetic features, the Weber State campus has received a number of national citations and awards.

Weber College Gymnasium, 550 25th Street, completed in 1925-The structure also contained classrooms, administrative offices, ballroom, and student services facilities. The only remaining building initially associated with Weber College, it was funded with church and community support and was later operated as the Desert Gymnasium.

Stake Academy L.D.S. Pioneer Tabernacle, 22nd Street and Washington Boulevard Classes were held here for a short time in 1890.

Weber College campus, Harrison Boulevard (circa 1956) - Initial property was purchased in 1947, construction began in 1952; and the first classes were held in 1953.

Fint permanent home of Weber Stake Academy, 2450 Jefferson Avenue-Known as the Moench Building, the first classes were held in 1891; the building completed and dedicated in 1892; and eventually razed in 1970.

Weber State College campus, 1989-Often seferred to as "The jewel of the community".
