1. The Old Firebell Marker

Inscription.
Called Elkton Firefighters to duty.

Originally hung in the late 1880's in the belfry of the wooden fire station on the northwest corner of the intersection of Elk and First Streets.

The fire house was demolished in the early 1940's and the bell was hung on the water tower.

Bell mounted in 2003 with donated funds from the Mary Chilton Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution, Sioux Falls, SD, Elkton Women's Club and private gifts.
