Mullen-Wild House
This fire station is built on the site of a homestead occupied by one family from the late 19th century until the early years of the 21st century. The house was built in 1891 by Peter and Mary Doughaen and was inherited by their daughter Mary and her husband, Police Captain Eugene Wild whose family had lived in this section of Paterson from the 1840's. In 1970, Captain Wild left it to his daughter Eleanor and her husband, Dr. Richard W. Mullen. Throughout these many years, members of the family have devoted themselves to the Fire, EMS, Police and Educational services of the City of Paterson.
