Oldfields
has been designated a
National Historic Landmark
Developed primarily between 1909 and the mid 1920's, Oldfields was built for Hugh McKennan Landon in 1932. Landon sold the property to J. K. Lilly Jr., businessman, collector and philanthropist. Oldfields is an outstanding example of an estate of the country place era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and possesses national significance in commemorating the history of the United States of America.
