In honor of the marines and sailors of Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 23d Marines, who distinguished themselves in combat against Iraqi forces, as part of the 1st Marine Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. These brave men fought valiantly next to one another as brothers, with honor, courage, and commitment. Through their courageous action, personal sacrifice, and exceptional dedication to duty, Fox Company upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.
