1. M 1897 M4 Marker

Inscription. This anti-tank gun was introduced in 1897 and was known as the canon de 75 modele. This type of gun was used for training during the interwar period prior to World War II.

Dedicated to the Heroes of VFW Post 3103
Revitalized by Calvin Kung of BSA Troop 170

A smaller marker, likely relocated here when this marker was placed, is at the base of the anti-tank gun. It reads: Eagle Scout Project of John Sharp, Troop 170
The 19 trees planted at VFW Post 3103 serve as a memorial to the men and women lost during the Iraq War.

These individuals from the Fredericksburg Area gave their lives in order to protect the values upon which this nation is based.
You Will Never be Forgotten.
This maple tree serves as a tribute to all the men & women currently serving in Iraq, for whose protection and safety we pray.
