Inscription. These big crates contain our most recent fossil finds-millions of them. We are digging through the crates and making new discoveries every day. Millions of new fossils from Project 23 (named for the 23 crates) are helping us reconstruct the environment of Ice Age L.A. From mammoth tusks to mouse toes, fossils big and small tell us what L.A. was like long ago.
