1. Lockheed F-104G Starfighter Marker

Inscription. The F-104G Starfighter was developed as an all weather lighter bomber for allied air forces. The USAF flew lighter versions, F-104A/B/C/D, as interceptors and tactical fighters. The F-104G aircraft based at Luke AFB were owned by Germany under USAF operational control and maintained by Lockheed. Five Luke squadrons produced more than 2,200 graduates from the unique German Air Force/USAF F-104G training program during the period October 1964 - March 1983.
